What do all of these things have in common?
•babies playing with toys or hugging a crying child;
•digging in the sand at the park, going barefoot in the summer, or gardening;
•shaking hands with someone, enjoying a group picnic, or slow dancing at the prom;
•shopping, banking, or attending a meeting;
•kissing another person, sharing lip balm, or sharing a popsicle;
•sneaking a sip of someone’s drink or drinking water from a stream during a hike;
•sexual activity or using needles to inject drugs or medications;
•construction work or building a tree fort; or
•baiting a hook, getting in a fight, or playing a team sport?
All of these activities can lead to infections.
Many infections can be prevented by immunization. Immunization is for everyone.
Call your local Northwestern Health Unit to find out if you or anyone in your family is due for a vaccination.
Make sure everyone has all the protection they can get!
