The deadline is fast approaching to nominate an educator who has made an impact for the Premier’s Awards for Teaching Excellence.
The annual awards are meant to recognize teachers, support staff, principals, and the many others who are a part of, and make a difference in, the education system.
Nominations for this year’s awards are due Jan. 31.
Six different categories are open to nominations, including teacher of the year, new teacher of the year, excellent support staff, excellence in leadership, team of the year, and lifetime achievement.
Winners of the awards are chosen by a selection panel made up of people representing a cross-section of those involved in education, such as students, parents, and other teachers.
