The Fort Frances Aquanauts Swim Club came home with a haul of 34 personal best times from the Kenora Swimming Sharks’ annual invitational meet over the weekend.
“Everybody came out and had lots of best times, and really good swims,” head coach Dawnn Taylor enthused.
Their results were as follows:
•Christopher Allan—200m freestyle (2:44:61, 2nd), 200m backstroke (3:09:62, 1st), 50m freestyle (31:49, 3rd), 50m breaststroke (46:65, 2nd), 50m backstroke (38:93, 1st), 200m individual medley (3:08:06, 1st), 100m freestyle (1:13:75, 1st), and 100m backstroke (1:25:49, 1st);
•Anika Beaudry—50m backstroke (1:00:01, 15th), 50m freestyle (53:79, 21st), 50m breaststroke (1:09:35, 15th), 100m breaststroke (2:32:19, 9th), and 100m freestyle (1:58:83, (15th);
•Andre Emond—200m freestyle (2:38:60, 5th), 200m backstroke (2:53:79, 5th), 50m freestyle (34:82, 6th), 100m backstroke (1:23:00, 6th), 50m backstroke (39:57, 1st), 200m IM (3:08:65, 5th), 100m freestyle (1:15:34, 7th), and 50m fly (40:53, 2nd);
•Krista Emond—200m freestyle (2:39:21, 1st), 100m breaststroke (1:33:31, 1st), and 50m backstroke (41:37, 2nd). She was scratched from her remaining events due to injury;
