The Northwest Catholic District School Board will hold its regular monthly meeting tonight at 6:30 p.m. at its office adjacent to St. Francis School.
On the agenda is confirmation of C.U.P.E. job descriptions for the positions of attendance counsellor, head custodian, custodian, educational assistant, library assistant, lunch hour supervisor, school secretary, technical support specialist, and speech assistant.
The board also will be hearing a presentation by Catholicity co-ordinator Kathleen Mueller “with regards to teaching character through Catholic virtues,” director of education Mary-Catherine Kelly noted this morning.
Also tonight, the board will present a recognition of excellence for staff at Sacred Heart School in Sioux Lookout for their role in mentoring.
The Canadian Catholic Schools Trustees Association’s national conversation, where trustees will talk about possible direction for community outreach, also is slated to be discussed.
As well, updates will be heard from various committees, such as the Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC), the First Nation, Métis and Inuit Advisory Committee, and the Diocesan Office of Catholic Education (DOCE).
