Information on “Aural Art with Internet Technologies,” a new mass media course being offered at Rainy River Community College in International Falls this fall, will be available via a free hotline today through Wednesday (Aug. 11-13) from 8-9:30 p.m. by calling 1-218-285-2215.
Course instructor Jeffrey Adams will be manning the phones these three evenings to answer questions, provide background on the course, and chat with anyone interested in new audio technologies such as podcasting and online radio.
“This subject is very new to our community and I realize that a lot of people might have a few questions about this course,” noted Adams. “That’s why I’m asking people to call up and give me a chance to explain things one-on-one.
“Basically, we’re instructing people how to record and distribute their own stories, songs, and opinions to the world with a technology called podcasting,” he added.
“Podcasting is growing incredibly fast, and this is a great time to get into it, even if only to share your programs with friends and family.”
Adams is artistic director of the Icebox Radio Theater, and is an award-winning audio theater producer.
“Aural Art with Internet Technologies” will be offered Tuesday evenings at RRCC this fall. Space in the course is limited.
