An 18-year-old Lake of the Woods Township male has been charged with careless handling of a firearm in connection with a hunting death back on Dec. 5 in Morson Township.
Eric Olsen is scheduled to make his first court appearance July 10 in Rainy River, Fort Frances OPP reported this morning.
Four teens had been deer hunting when a firearm discharged, resulting in the death of Tyler Cottam, 18, of Nestor Falls.
The one male was charged upon conclusion of an investigation by the Fort Frances OPP’s Crime Unit, police said.
