Despite the damp ground and sporadic patches of snow, the Muskie girls’ senior soccer team is ready to hit the field and start the season off right—hopefully with some solid victories.
The squad will host a pre-season tournament at the St. Francis pitches, beginning tomorrow with games against Dryden at 11 a.m. and then Kenora at 3:30 p.m.
Then they’ll wrap up action Saturday versus Rainy River at 10:30 a.m. and the Muskie junior girls’ team at 3 p.m.
The senior boys’ soccer team, meanwhile, is in Winnipeg this weekend for the annual St. John’s Ravenscourt Invitational tournament.
Their first home action is slated for Wednesday, May 14.
Both Muskie teams are looking forward to the NorWOSSA playoffs, which will be held May 21 in Rainy River.
