PeeWee all-stars open all-Ontario tournament

The Northwestern Ontario ‘AAA’ PeeWee All-Stars got off to a rough start Monday during their opening games of the all-Ontario championship being held in Thunder Bay this week.
In their early-afternoon tilt, the Stars lost a close 6-5 decision to the host Thunder Bay Kings in the opening game of the tournament, which runs from March 31-April 5.
Jordan Larson of Fort Frances had two goals and an assist against the Kings and was named the game MVP.
Scott Parsons of Fort Frances went the distance in goal.
Then in the evening game, the Ottawa Sting came out on top of a 7-1 score over the Stars. Larson netted their lone goal.
The Sting was led by Brandon Seatter, who tallied three goals and two assists on the night.
The Stars were blanked 5-0 by the Toronto Red Wings in their lone game yesterday, then followed that with a pair of matches today (Wednesday) against the London Junior Knights and Sudbury Wolves.
The Oakville Rangers round out the seven-team field.
The PeeWee Stars are comprised of players selected from PeeWee ‘AA’ and ‘A’ teams from Fort Frances, Kenora, Dryden, Red Lake, Sioux Lookout, and Ignace.
Colton Spicer and Judd Gardiman are the other Fort Frances players on the squad, which is being led by head coach Dan Reynard of Kenora.
