With Good Friday only a week away, those planning to buy tickets to attend the perenially-popular Fort Frances Kiwanis Club’s breakfast had better act fast.
Kiwanian Dr. Bob Lidkea said late yesterday that very few tickets are left, so those who plan to attend had best drop by Drs. Lidkea, Elliott and Lidkea’s office as soon as possible.
Tickets cost $8 each.
This year’s breakfast (buffet style) will start at 8 a.m. at La Place Rendez-Vous.
Rev. Jill Warner of International Falls will be guest speaker. Some people also may know Rev. Warner from Knox United Church here, where she’s been an interim pastor.
Meanwhile, the Borderland Choral Bells, led by Diane Maxey, will perform at the Good Friday breakfast.
The event began here back in 1994 by Kiwanis past governor Ken Koprowski and has grown to be extremely popular. Last April’s breakfast saw about 250 people come out.
It nearly always sells out.
