Back by popular demand is the fourth-annual “A Chocolate Affair—Delectable Decadence” presented by the Citizens for Backus AB, which will run Sunday, Feb. 10 from noon-4 p.m. at the Backus Community Center in International Falls.
“The response is growing every year,” enthused event publicity chair Marcia Bringedahl. “It’s becoming quite popular.
“The desserts are just exquisite,” she added.
For an admission of $7 a plate at the door, chocolate-lovers will be able to sample from a gorgeous array of chocolate specialties, as well as enjoy a lovely beverage and live music.
Attendees also will have the opportunity to buy chances on several decadent chocolate desserts. Three chances cost $5, or you can get five chances for $10.
The desserts are all prepared by Backus volunteers, with proceeds going towards the community center.
“It’s just going to be a nice afternoon to treat yourself,” Bringedahl noted, adding it’s a come-and-go event.
Also available Sunday afternoon will be a variety of Valentine gift plates of chocolate, which can be custom gift-wrapped.
