Sincere thanks

Dear editor:
I don’t know if you will print this or not, but I very much want to thank the Good Samaritan who made my Christmas a wonderful, heartfelt event.
On Dec. 24, I received a call from McTaggarts asking if I had purchased gift certificates. I indicated that I had, from Taggs and Northwoods, in the total amount of $300.
The salesperson at McTaggarts informed me that I had dropped them on Scott Street and that a customer had picked them up and brought them into the store. The store then contacted me to inform me they had the certificates.
I had no idea the gift certificates were even missing—and would not have discovered this until I started doing my last-minute wrapping that night. If I had been unable to find the gifts on Christmas Eve, it would have been a sad Christmas indeed.
Instead, through the kindness of this unknown stranger and the staff at McTaggarts, I experienced the true spirit of Christmas and all was well.
A sincere thank you to whoever you are. People like you make the world a better place for us all.
Yours sincerely,
Terri Darrigan
