The winning raffle ticket for the Emo Firemen’s Association was drawn Friday, Dec. 28th at Cloverleaf in Emo.
Martin Kellar of Fort Frances won a Samsung 50-inch plasma HDTV, a Panasonic deluxe home theatre system, and a Playstation 3.
“I never win anything,” Kellar said when contacted by phone.
The Emo Firemen’s Association would like to thank everyone who purchased a ticket and helped make this fundraiser such a success!

The United Church supper held on Christmas Eve was a big success as 55 people were served (including seven meals which were delivered).
The event raised $717.75, which will be given to the United Church Mission and Service Fund.

The annual meeting of the Rainy River Valley Agricultural Society will be held next Tuesday (Jan. 8) at 7:30 p.m. at the Emo curling club. Committee reports for 2007 will be presented, and there will be the election of officers and directors for 2008.
A membership for the coming year can be purchased for $10 (please note a membership is required to vote).
Everyone is welcome to attend.
