The Muskie boys’ hockey team, already feared and revered for their blowout victories, outdid themselves here Tuesday night with a 13-0 whitewashing of the Ely/Tower-Soudan Timberwolves.
After a cautious first period, when the Muskies managed just one goal from Joe Basaraba, the home side exploded in the second for seven more.
A five-goal third cemented the rout.
Eleven Muskies registered at least a point in the game, led by Basaraba, who netted four goals and two assists.
Blake Wepruk added two goals and two assists while Zach McCool notched four assists.
The black-and-gold begin a weekend tournament in Brandon, Man. today.
