Magnus Theatre is excited to present “Half Life,” a compelling play focused on the autumn years of life.
This heartfelt story, sprinked with gentle humour throughout, is beautifully told by award-winning playwright John Mighton.
The play runs from Nov. 29-Dec. 15.
Set against a backdrop of wartime stories and half-forgotten memories, “Half Life” tells a bittersweet love story between two elderly nursing home residents, Patrick (George Merner) and Clara (Susan Williamson), and the responses of their respective families, Clara’s son, Donald (Scott Fink), and Patrick’s daughter, Anna (Jo-Ann Waytowich).
Thoughtful, engaging, and at times funny, this not-to-be-missed play hosts a charming cast of characters exploring themes of love, the nature of memory, the inevitable process of aging, and the changing roles between parents and their adult children.
