Youth busted with Oxycontin

Around 8 p.m. on Saturday, members of the Fort Frances OPP received a complaint regarding two people walking along the 900 block of Victoria Avenue with what was believed to be a rifle.
Officers located two youths, aged 13 and 14, and discovered them to be in possession of an Air Soft gun (a gun that fires plastic pellets).
But further investigation revealed the 13-year-old to be in possession of Oxycontin pills.
The youth was arrested and later released to his mother on a promise to appear in court Nov. 19
In other news, police were called to assist Canada Border Services here Saturday when a 19-year-old male, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property.
He also was arrested for failing to attend court.
The male was operating a 1993 Chevrolet Suburban that was reported stolen from Wawa, Ont. the previous day (Oct. 12).
U.S. Customs officers observed the vehicle turn around prior to reaching their port-of-entry and notified Canadian authorities.
The teen was remanded into custody and was scheduled to appear in court here yesterday.
