Police station robbed

The OPP and Crime Stoppers need your extra attention to the following unsolved crime.
Sometime between midnight and 3 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 28 of this year, someone illegally entered the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service detachment situated on the Fort Severn First Nation in the far remote north of our region.
Once entry was made, those responsible stole one secure handgun storage box containing a Sig Sauer 40-calibre semi-automatic pistol, a set of police issue handcuffs, as well as pepper spray and a police collapsible baton.
In addition, a Winchester 870 Wingmaster 12-gauge shotgun and eight 303-calibre Lee Enfield rifles also were stolen.
Obviously, this very serious crime could lead to very serious outcomes if these weapons fall into the wrong hands. Crime Stoppers is ready to pay cash to see that this case is solved and the weapons recovered.
