Comforting lights

Dear editor:
This past August, I had the pleasure of visiting family in Fort. We went to the cemetery, as we do every time we come to town, to pay our respects to our family members who have passed away.
My aunties suggested that we go in the evening so we could see the butterfly “night light” they placed at our family’s plot.
Well, I was taken aback by the amount of “night lights” that were in this cemetery! Almost the entire cemetery was illuminated by these wonderful “night lights.”
My 13-year-old daughter, who was not thrilled about going to a cemetery at night, commented that somehow with the lights, the cemetery didn’t seem like such a scary place to be.
I haven’t noticed any “night lights” in the cemeteries here in Manitoba, but in the very near future I will be placing two where my husband’s parents are laid to rest.
