Dear editor,
My name is Savanah La Belle and I am three years old. I live in Barwick. I would like to thank my loving and caring brother Tyler and everyone that helped in the search for me on July 29.
We are truly blessed to have so many people in our community who care so much. Everyone came together and did everything they could.
This is what happened: I was playing in my living room, one minute I was there and the next minute I had disappeared. My big brother Tyler was frantic. The gate in our living room is always locked and Tyler realized I had discovered how to open it. When I would not answer his calls and I was nowhere to be found in the house, he was sure I had gotten outside. He called 911, then frantically ran yelling and looking everywhere.
Pretty soon, everyone in town was searching. My parents came to find cars and people in our house and yard. The search continued for about two hours.
It ended happily when my nine-year-old brother Dustin and his friend Hunter were double-checking the house and saw the comforter move in my big sisters’ room. This is a place I had never gone before. The large bed and huge comforter were so very inviting. I crawled under the comforter and went to sleep.
Because I come from a large family, and there is always noise, I sleep very soundly. I woke up to find extra hugs and kisses.
Thank you everyone,
Savanah, Wanda, Conrad,
Melissa, Samantha, Miranda,
Travis, Tyler and Dustin La Belle
