Fort Frances OPP officers responded to a disturbance at the Fort Frances Canadian Bass Championship just after 1 a.m. on Saturday.
As a result of the investigation, a 20-year-old Fort Frances male was arrested for failing to leave when directed to do so.
A subsequent investigation revealed the man to be in possession of marijuana and he also was charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
He was released from police custody and is schedule to attend court here Aug. 27.
Also on Saturday around 1:45 a.m., a Fort Frances male, 30, was stopped on Third Street after trying to avoid a R.I.D.E. program.
He subsequently was arrested and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and driving with a blood alcohol level over 80 mg.
His first court appearance will be Sept. 10 in Fort Frances.
Fort Frances OPP officers also responded to a fight at the Fort Frances Canadian Bass Championship on Sunday around 2:25 a.m.
As a result of the investigation, a 20-year-old male from Richton Park, Ill. was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm.
He later was released on an undertaking, with a return court date of Aug. 27 in Fort Frances.
Also on Sunday at 2 a.m., Fort Frances OPP responded to a disturbance on the 700 block of Scott Street. As a result, a Devlin man, 27, was arrested and charged with assault.
He was later released on an undertaking, with a return court date of Sept. 10.
