Many thanks

Dear editor:
    Once again, the “Relay for Life” was a great success.
    I want to thank all of my volunteers, as well as the Fun in the Sun queen contestants, who helped with the luminaries. It’s a big job and I couldn’t have done it without you.
    Thanks, also, to all of the businesses that sold the luminaries for me, as well as those that sold pink ribbons for us. And to all the families and businesses that donated items for our silent auction.
    Last but not least, thanks to all of my sponsors (funny how most of you recognize me and pull out your wallets).
    It was a tough year for getting sponsors but within the last minutes of getting pledges, I was able to reach my goal of $4,000. A big thanks to all.
    My team this year was named the “Wish-sh-sh Aways” because our aim was to wish away cancer. But since this is not possible, we collected pledges and did extra team fundraising for cancer in hopes that someday our wishes will come true.
