Darlene Nyberg, co-ordinator of the Family Resource Program/Ontario Early Years Centre, and public health nurse Miranda Sigurdson have been offering a brand new nine-week program for babies and parents called “Make the Connection: Birth to one year.”
The program has shown parents how to connect with their babies through love, language, and learning.
“We have shared special moments with our babies through the ‘Love My Baby’ CD, ‘My First Year’ photo album, videotaping, and taking pictures as we see our babies learn the love, language, and learning messages,” said Nyberg.
The course ran its seventh session last Thursday.
While there only are two more to go until the end of the current course, the OEYC will be offering it again in the fall.
