Local chiropractic office branches out to Rainy River

In an effort to reduce the strain many out-of-town patients go through to make it to their chiropractic appointments here in Fort Frances, Dr. Jeremy McGuire and Dr. Shayla Kennedy have decided to open a clinic in Rainy River to bring their services closer to those patients.
“The clinic is our way of helping out our patients who do not live in the community,” Dr. Kennedy said Monday. “Many of these people have to take the day off or get a baby-sitter just so they can make it to their appointment.
“In addition to that, they also have to make the drive there and back, which can often be as long as two hours,” she noted.
“We decided that this would be the best way to try and help ease the strain these patients go through.”
The clinic, which opened yesterday, will offer services each Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to Rainy River area residents. Appointments can be made during the week by calling the office in Fort Frances (274-2545).
“On Tuesdays, we can be reached at the chiropractic office in Rainy River,” said Dr. Kennedy. “People can call us at 275-7082 and set up an appointment for us there, as well.”
She said they have gotten a very good response so far.
“We really have no idea what to expect but we are sure that it is going to go very well,” she added. “We are looking forward to getting it started and I am very optimistic that we will be able to really help the people out in that area.
“There is still a bit of work that has to be done but we are very optimistic,” she continued. “We are just very happy to be able to offer this type of service to our patients.”
