La Place Rendez-Vous has grown over the years, and everyone is invited to see the latest $1.8-million renovations to the restaurant-hotel here this Sunday.
The open house, which runs from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., will include a special breakfast brunch early on although those coming later can still enjoy complimentary refreshments.
There also will be draws for prizes, including a night in one of the hotel’s new suites, complete with a dinner for two.
The expansion consists of 23 new rooms, making for 68 in total, including a small boardroom and six suites.
All rooms now offer VCRs, and guests can rent videos at the front desk or bring their own. New phone jacks also have been installed especially for laptop computers, and all rooms have a keyless entry system.
And for a taste of luxury, keep your eyes open for the suites, which have refrigerators, big screen TVs, stereos, and either a patio or balcony, depending what level you’re on.
Four of the suites also feature two-person whirlpools with separate showers.
The expansion also means the Rendez-Vous has added three full-time and four part-time jobs on the payroll.
To get people more familiar with the new renovations, a special rate–$79 for a night in a whirlpool suite–is being offered for February and March.
The interior renovations, which were started last July, were completed last month. The exterior work will be finished this spring.
