Arpin makes top 10 at Valcourt

Steve Arpin went head-to-head with the best of the best on the ice oval at the Grand Prix de Valcourt in Quebec last weekend and he made the top 10.
In his lone race Friday at the Yvon-Duhamel Race Track, Arpin took eighth in the Champ 440 (Eastern Pro Tour) division.
On Saturday, Arpin also finished third in the Pro Stock 600 and fourth in the Pro Stock 500, as well as had two seventh-place showings in both the Pro Stock 440 and Champ 440.
Arpin trailed pro Jaques Villeneuve by five spots.
Then on Sunday, Arpin earned a third-place in the Pro Stock 600, two fourth-place finishes in the Pro Stock 440 and Champ 440, and fifth spot in the Pro Stock 500.
The Grand Prix de Valcourt began in the 1980s when the Federation of Snowmobile Clubs of Quebec decided to find a way to encourage sport development.
It appeared a major winter event would boost the interest in the sport.
