Golf tourney, football reunion planned

“I’m interested in attending this year’s reunion. Have heard some wonderful reports about your past reunion–don’t want to miss attending again.”
These, and similar sentiments, have been received from literally hundreds of former Fort High students registering for the FFHS Millennium Reunion in July.
Having missed the 1994 high school reunion, they are making sure they don’t miss out again.
Signing up for the reunion, and for some of the activities taking place on the first day, is a real priority for those who don’t want to miss out.
In previous articles in both the Fort Frances Times and the Fort High Newsletter, readers have read that the reunion openings are filling up. What readers perhaps have not been so aware of is the fact the reunion committee has planned special activities for the first day.
The reunion golf tournament and the FFHS football reunion are two events for which organizers need to receive early registrations.
Tournament organizer Freddie Beck and football reunion organizers George Wood and Julian Brunetta already have started to receive contacts from interested participants from as far away as California.
As the reunion dates draw closer, it is expected the numbers of registrants will fill to capacity. Reunion organizers are planning for 2,000 returnees for this “school” function with, unfortunately, late registrants not getting in.
The grassroots network of friends, classmates, and relatives has worked very well in getting word out a reunion is being planned for July 7-9.
Because all direct school contact is normally broken off once a person has left Fort High, it is important this “network” make the effort to inform their former classmates about the reunion.
