Carpenter family to perform at reunion

KBHW Radio in International Falls is pleased to have the Carpenter family participating in the All-Class Reunion ladies’ breakfast slated Saturday, July 2 at the Holiday Inn, Peggy Gustafson said.
The Carpenters are a family of nine that perform a variety of music with a Christ-centered focus. They range in age from eight to 26, and all play instruments and sing.
The audience will be introduced to the sound of a hammer dulcimer, along with guitars, keyboards, fiddles, harmonicas, drums, flute, banjo, and southern Gospel-style harmony blends.
The Carpenters have a home in Morgan, Mn. although they’re most likely to be on the road. They’ve been performing in the Black Hills for the past four summers, and in Arizona and Texas for the past three winters.
The family also has had appearances in Wisconsin, New Mexico, Kansas, Wyoming, Iowa, and parts of Canada.
Their program is sure to leave you with a song in your heart, strengthen relationships within your own family, and encourage you in your walk with God, Gustafson said.
The breakfast will be served at 9:30 a.m., followed by a fashions of the decade show, courtesy of the class of ’45 under the direction of Bertha Lindholm (nee Santine) and accompanied by pianist Peter Krogseng.
An inspirational message will be brought by Brenda Kilber (’80) from Burnsville, Mn. She and husband, Scott, direct Life Centre of Prayer, one of eight ministries working together in the Twin Cities to network and serve Christ for the purpose of effective prayer.
She also is involved in a unique and ethnically-diverse music group called Judah.
Tickets are now on sale at City Drug, Ben Franklin Crafts, and KBHW for $10 (U.S.) Seating is limited to 300, and tables of eight may be reserved.
