Despite overnight rain, Rainy Lake has dropped since yesterday morning and now sits at 338.221 m (1,109.65 ft.)–a decrease of 1.3 cm.
The drop comes even though the U.S. National Weather Bureau in International Falls reported the area received 0.889 cm (0.35 inches) of rain overnight.
The average five-day in-flow on the lake was at 564 cu. m/s this morning while out-flows were measured at 607 cu. m/s.
In related news, Namakan Lake stayed at 341.15 m (1,119.26 ft), the same level as yesterday, while Rainy River below the dam rose by four cm (1.6 inches) to 331.42 m (1,087.34 ft.)
