Doug Kitowski Trucking of here lost 5-0 to Marquette, Mich. in the consolation final of the Twin Ports Senior Women’s Invitational hockey tournament in Duluth on Sunday.
The Fort Frances squad reached the consolation final with a 4-1 win over Buffalo, Mn. on Saturday. Barb Galusha led the way with two goals while Arlene Byrnes and Leanne Gouin added singles.
Mary Waghorn, who was solid in goal for the Fort all weekend, earned the win between the pipes.
The locals opened the 10-team tournament with a 3-1 loss to St. Paul, Mn. Byrnes netted their lone goal.
Other team members included Erin McIvor, Erin McMahon, Barb West, Julie Shuh, Phyllis Pierson, Shannon Blight, and Beth Paleczny.
