Woman charged in stabbing death

A second person has been charged in connection with the stabbing death of a 16-year-old male here July 31.
Tara George, 20, of Thunder Bay was taken into police custody Sunday on a charge of manslaughter, Fort Frances OPP reported. She was escorted here from Thunder Bay yesterday and briefly appeared in court.
George was slated to appear in court here again today.
Joseph Francis Therriault, 22, already faces a second-degree murder charge in connection with the death of Nathan Edward McDonald, who was found stabbed around 3 a.m. in a residential area around 1024 Webster Ave.
McDonald was rushed to La Verendrye hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Therriault was arrested near the Fort Frances Courthouse around 9 a.m. that day.
Therriault currently is in custody at Thunder Bay District Jail. He appeared in court here yesterday via teleconference from Thunder Bay, and is slated to make another appearance tomorrow afternoon.
Crown Attorney Robert “Buster” Young said this morning he considered the next appearance to be “a continuation of the pre-trial.”
