The Bulldogs of the Rainy River District Fastball League earned a trip to the Division II World Series this summer after a qualifier tournament in Fargo, N.D. over the weekend.
The Bulldogs went 2-3 to grab sixth-place overall among the 13 teams competing. They’ll play at another tournament against a similar field in Rice Lake, Wis. next month.
Formerly out of Emo but now playing at Couchiching, the Bulldogs last competed at the World Series in 2000 but opted not to go last year.
This year’s series will be held in Salem, Ore. in August.
