Devlin fishermen bring them in!

Our Devlin/LaVallee community had a strong show of fishermen and accomplishments at the Fort Frances annual bass tournament held last week.
Congratulations to Doug and Zack McBride who finished in 7th place and with picking up the prize of $1000.00 for the Top Rendezvous Trail team.
Also doing extremely well were Kelvin Caul and Murray Witherspoon placing 12th overall, this team also had Day Two’s “big catch” and Day Three’s “big fish”, this team was also titled “Most Improved Team.”
And to all the other fishermen in our community “hats off to you for your involvement in this yearly event. You’re all a big part of putting Devlin on the map.

I, myself, along with my daughter, Carley, will be attending Candace Grynol’s and Eddy Saidab wedding in Montreal on Saturday, Aug. 3. I’ll be extending my time there and spend a week with my sister Nancy.

A reminder that the 2004 Centennial for our community is in the planning stages. The team putting this together are requesting pictures and family histories.

The centennial committee will be having a food booth at the Emo fair, they will be serving beef on a bun.
Volunteers would be appreciated to help out with events, if anyone can donate two hours of their time call one of the above mentioned.
