Lady Frances tenants to see more services

Tenants at Lady Frances Place (Fort Frances) will benefit from an increase in Supportive Housing services given the announcement of an increase in attendant services provided through the Northwestern Ontario Living Services (NILS) Outreach Program.
Hours of service will increase from four hours per day to roughly eight hours per day, seven days per week.
The Rainy River District Social Services Administration Board’s partnership with NILS has assisted with the provision of on-site support services for the past two years.
The local DSSAB is pleased that ongoing annual commitment of services funded by the Ministry of Health & Long Term Care has been confirmed.
Together with the ministry, NILS, and the North West Local Health Integrated Network, the DSSAB is committed to continue working towards eventually providing 24-hour on-site supportive housing at Lady Frances.
“We are thrilled to work with NILS, [the ministry], and [North West] LHIN on this important project that positively assists tenants who need supports for some basic living needs that many of us take for granted,” said DSSAB CAO Donna Dittaro.
“We are committed to work with other agencies and ministries to provide more and better services to the tenants we serve in Rainy River District,” she added.
