In memory of Gary Holmes Miller, age 84, of Fort Frances, Ontario who passed away peacefully on Friday, October 23, 2026, at La Verendrye Hospital.

Gary is survived by his loving wife Diane, son Darren and daughter Terri (Mike). He also leaves behind three grandchildren, Krystal, Everett and Parker, whom he dearly loved. He was predeceased by his parents, Edna and Holmes Miller, and his brother Jack Miller.

Born on May 2, 1942, in Fort Frances, Gary arrived during a time when his father Holmes was serving overseas during WWII. Since his mother was a teacher in a one-room country school, she would bring baby Gary with her. When his father returned from the war, Gary and Jack worked alongside their parents, helping to run the Miller Store in La Vallee.

In 1963, in search of employment, he took a job in the smelter with Inco in Thompson, Manitoba. Gary and Diane were married on March 14, 1964, in the La Vallee Wesley United Church. After retiring in 1993, they returned to purchase land and build their home in Crozier, where they enjoyed many happy years together.
