Dear Editor,
The economic future of Fort Frances is on the table. Do we want to maintain the status quo established by the two-term councillors, or do we want a progressive council that will work to reverse the negative economic trend they started?
We have two mayoral candidates: Councillor McTaggart has served two four-year terms on council. We see the results of his eight years on Council every day. Councillor McTaggart represents the status quo.
Brent Calder has extensive experience and knowledge of managing construction projects in the tar sands of Alberta. Brent will bring this experience to council and will ensure the business of council is transparent and accountable to constituents. He will work to restore the economic vitality of our community.
I am voting for Brent Calder and the promise of a brighter future for our community and invite you to do the same.
Walter Horban
