Fort Frances Little Theatre is searching for a family of truckers—and those brave enough to take to the stage are being asked to jump into the driver’s seat for a test drive.
Local writer Wendy Judson has penned a play, “Keep on Truckin,” about the life of a family of truckers in Northwestern Ontario. Judson has been working on the drama for the last two years.
“Is this really life in Northwestern Ontario?” she joked yesterday.
Auditions for the local troupe’s upcoming production will be held tomorrow (Sept. 18) at 7 p.m. at the Fort Frances Museum.
Roles in the seven-character play range from a grandmother-type figure around age 60 to a 17-year-old girl, a teenaged boy, a 40-something man, and everything in between.
“It would help if people had experience, but we are always looking for more people to get involved,” Judson said.
If you’re interested in auditioning, don’t worry about preparing a piece as copies of the script will be available to read.
Those not interested in appearing before the bright lights are asked to help out with set construction, props, or dozens of other jobs needed to put on this production.
