Saturday, Nov. 21 will be the Lakers’ Cancer Awareness Game as they take on the Miners. They will wear custom lavender cancer awareness jerseys sponsored by Safeway, which will be up for silent auction after the game. There will be lavender Lakers Hoodies for sale, with proceeds going to Riverside Health Care and $5 drinks pre-game until puck drop.
Friday, Nov. 27 will be country night at the Lakers game as they take on the Thunder Bay North Stars. “Join us for prizes, giveaways and country music all night!” Hallett Brewing beer will also be on tap.
The final Lakers home game of 2026 on Dec. 11 will feature a matchup against the Kam River Fighting Walleye, and the Lakers will host a toy drive in aid of the United Native Friendship Centre as well as a vendor market on the concourse.
Lakers home games start at 7:15 p.m. at Ice for Kids Arena. The Lakers currently have a 3-3 record and sit third in the SIJHL standings behind reigning champions Thunder Bay North Stars and the Dryden Ice Dogs, which both also have six points in the standings, but more wins in out-of-regulation games.
