It is with profound sorrow that the family of Robert Belluz announces his passing on August 23, 2026, at the age of 69.
Robert was born in Fort Frances on May 21, 1957, to parents Josephine and Camillo. As a proud “Northender,” Robert enjoyed a colourful youth filled with fond memories of mischief and adventure—from racing homemade soapbox cars at night to setting off railway detonators in friends’ driveways.
Robert began working for the family business at the age of fourteen. After briefly attending Lakehead University to study civil engineering, he would ultimately return to Fort Frances to help run Belluz Concrete and Rentals.
Despite taking great pride in his work, Robert also relished hunting, fishing, and spending time with loved ones. As an avid sports fan and film enthusiast, he could readily lose himself in a good match or flick, and was never one to turn down a sweet treat.
Beyond his many interests, those who knew Robert will likely remember his charismatic storytelling, warm sense of humour, and remarkable propensity for being late.

Robert was predeceased by his mother Josephine; father Camillo; and brother Ricky. He is survived by his sons Braedon and Connor; sister Artina (Les); and brother Michael (Melissa). He is also lovingly remembered by his former wife Lisa; nieces Lauren (Steve), Adriane, and Maggie; nephews Matthew (Tanna) and George (Rylee); great-nephews Kade, Jax, Gordon, and Edmund; and numerous extended family members and friends.
A funeral service in honour of Robert was held at St. Mary’s Parish in Fort Frances, on Saturday, August 29 at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Northern Cancer Fund.
Arrangements entrusted to Northridge Funeral Home Ltd., Emo, Ontario.
