A last gasp goal by Lamar Lucas of CJ Contracting just sneaks past the outstretched arm of Manitou Forest Products goalkeeper Mark Faragher. The game winner capped a furious second half that saw all three goals as CJ Contracting ended the season on a high note winning 2-1 over Manitou Forest Products. Adam Ali looked to have given MFP the win when he scored late in the game but CJ poured on the pressure and Ian Jodoin tied the match and Lucas put away the winner.
End of season awards were handed out following the game and Jodoin was named league MVP, Aurora Hutton was named rookie of the year playing as woman in the men’s league for the first time, Lucas Koomans received the most sportsmanlike award, Faragher won Goalkeeper of the Year and CJ’s Tyrus Smith received the Defender of the Year award and CJ’s Ben Latter received the Golden Boot as the league’s top scorer.
