If you’re looking for a sweet treat next week that will also benefit the community, Tim Hortons has what you want.
In a press release from Riverside Health Care, the organization shared that it will once again bye the recipient of the local Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign, set to run in Fort Frances from April 27 to May 3. The campaign sells special chocolate chunk cookies throughout the week and 100 percent of the proceeds from the cookies will be donated to Riverside’s Lights, Camera, DIAGNOSIS! Campaign that is working to bring advanced diagnostic imaging equipment to the Rainy River District.
“We’re incredibly grateful to Tim Hortons for once again partnering with us, and especially excited that 100 per cent of proceeds will be supporting our campaign,” said Riverside Health Care’s Director of Fundraising Holly Kaemingh.
“Every cookie purchased helps us move closer to our goal of enhancing diagnostic services right here in our communities.”
The Smile Cookie campaign is a national initiative for Tim Hortons restaurants, and benefits nearly 700 different charities, hospitals and community programs through raising funds to support their efforts. Every cookie sold in Fort Frances will see the proceeds stay local, helping to support bringing advanced diagnostic imaging, including the Rainy River District’s first MRI machine, to the area to benefit all patients and families across the region.
The cookies will be sold at the restaurant for $2 each, and for organizations or businesses who wish to support the campaign in a larger way, bulk orders are also returning this year, with delivery offered to local businesses throughout the district.
“Whether you’re picking up a single treat or ordering for your whole team, there’s no sweeter way to
make a difference – one cookie, one smile, and one step closer to better care, close to home,” Riverside said.
Anyone interested in placing a bulk order of cookies is encouraged to call Kaemingh at 807-274-6635, or by emailing h.kaemingh@rhcf.on.ca.
