After getting a bye to sit out the first round of SIJHL playoff action, the Fort Frances Lakers have started their semifinal games strong with a pair of wins against the Kam River Walleye last Friday and Saturday nights at the Ice for Kids Arena in Fort Frances. The Lakers head to the Norwest Arena in Oliver Paipoonge to continue their run with a pair of games tonight and tomorrow night, with a chance to bring the semifinal series to a close and advance to the next round of play.
