To the editor,
I enjoyed Leon DeGagne’s letter of February 25th and was obviously alarmed by the logic used on the Hallett “projects” purchasing. The folks who supplied the barricades and blocking must have enjoyed it too. Thanks to Mr. Morrison’s letter of March 4th explaining how those mistakes occurred. Some good stick handling there.
The other point mentioned in the letters is a roundabout. When I first heard of this daft idea I thought it was a joke, but apparently not. Does the enormous amount of traffic in town waiting maybe three minutes at a light warrant a roundabout or is it just the novelty of it?
So while we’re on the subject of the Town blowing money, a simple study can be done by slipping a two line ‘yes’ or ‘no’ ballot with estimated cost and time in with the next round of tax bills, have a drop off, phone in, or mail in.
So save our money and fix our roads because this Town needs a roundabout like a hole in the Hallett.
Sincerely,
– Rob Paxson, Tax Payer
