The Northwest Catholic District School Board will hold its regular monthly meeting tonight at the board office here and via videoconference with Dryden and Sioux Lookout.
On the agenda is a new self-evaluation template for the board to use to measure its accomplishments.
Last month, it was proposed such a self-evaluation template be created to provide an assessment tool to help maintain and improve the quality of the board’s work.
The questionnaire covers things like the job of the board, trustee conduct, board conduct, and board-staff relationships. The board will discuss the template and questionnaire at tonight’s meeting.
Also tonight, the board will go through the minutes of the Special Education Advisory Committee meeting from November.
Presumably, the board also will discuss the impact of additional provincial funding allocated by the provincial government last month as recommended by the Education Equality Task Force Report.
Also on the agenda tonight is a review of Advent and Christmas activities that took place at each of the board’s schools. The board also will review the Grade 3 and 6 EQAO results for each school, which were released last month.
There also will be a discussion on a hypothetical situation in which a parent complains a math textbook is inferior to other ones being used by other Catholic school boards.
