The battle for first place in the Fort Frances Men’s Basketball League remains a two-horse race.
Vianets (8-1) remain alone atop the league standings courtesy of their 72-61 win over Taggs (0-9) on Monday night at Fort Frances High School.
Adrian Chapman led all scorers pouring in 30 points for Vianets while Darren Tunguzzi was Taggs’ top scorer with 18.
Meanwhile, second-place La Place Rendez-Vous (7-2) remained one game off the pace after defeating the Fort High Muskies (3-6) in overtime by a score of 75-68.
It marked the second time this season the Vous has beaten the Muskies in extra time.
Brad Wardas of the Vous led all scorers with 27 points while Morgan Anderson finished with 14 points to lead the Muskies.
League action continues this Monday at 6:30 p.m. at Fort High.
