It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Mr. Terry Lynn Martin, of Fort Frances, Ontario, on Friday, January 23, 2026, at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, at the age of 65.
Terry was born in Fort Frances, Ontario, on August 9, 1960, to Lyle and Betty Martin. As a young man, he worked for the Town of Fort Frances. Later in life, he went back to school to become a computer technician. He enjoyed weightlifting, scuba diving, fishing, and gardening, and found great satisfaction in these pastimes. He had quite the sweet tooth and loved his nieces’ baking whenever she could send him some. Terry lived a private life and followed his own path.
Terry will be lovingly remembered by his children Kiel (Megan) Martin of Thunder Bay, Scott Martin of Fort Frances, Jeremy (Kelly) Martin of Big Island, and Amber Martin of Fort Frances.
He will also be greatly missed by his grandchildren Freya, Liam, Serenity, Wabby, Tony, Teara, Zayden, Kellan, Carson and Asher.
He is also survived by his siblings Brad (Evie) Martin of Fort Frances and Deborah (Kevin) DeGagné of Thunder Bay; as well as numerous nieces and a nephew who were very dear to him.
Terry was predeceased by his parents Lyle and Betty Martin.
As per his wishes, a private family service will be held at a later date.
