Sadly the family announces the passing of Joy Marie Legaree, 90, of Fort Frances, Ontario, on January 1, 2026, at her residence in Fort Frances.
Joy was born in Rainy River, Ontario, on December 4, 1935, to parents Ben and Violet Morrison.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children Dian (Brian) Webb, Jeannine Vickers, Fred (Gail) Thayer, Conley Thayer, Tom (Kathy) Legaree; her brother Bill Morrison and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Joy was predeceased by her husband Francis “Red” Legaree; her children RoseMarie Nyman and Darrel Thayer; her siblings Donald Morrison and Lorne Morrison and numerous extended family.
A graveside service will take place in Riverview Cemetery, Fort Frances, Ont., in the spring.
