It is with great sorrow that the family of Elijah Indian announces his sudden passing. Elijah was deeply loved by his blended family, he grew up in Onigaming with his Copenace, Indian, Allan and Kelly Family and in Manitou with the Hunter Family. He was a loyal friend to many and was a fun, loving, brave, and caring person. He had no problem telling people he loved them. In his younger days he enjoyed playing hockey. He loved running in cross country runs and volunteered to join in walks to protect the water and other worthy causes. He loved cooking and trying new recipes. He taught his son to love the outdoors by taking him on long walks in the trails and making a campfire. Elijah is remembered fondly by many and will be forever missed.

Elijah leaves behind his son Jeremiah Indian who he loved so dearly, his best friend Ashanti Skead, daughters Amiria and Audrey. Special friend Tyra Quewezance and her children. Parents Jessica Indian and Terry Bob, sisters Caidy and Lily Indian. Uncle Matt Indian-Copenace (Shannon), cousins Natalie (Brody), Abi, Jakob and Benny. Grandparents Sandra Indian, Tim Copenace and Al Hunter.

Aunt Joey Hunter (Mitch), cousins Morgan, Myla, Riley, Brady, Andi (Tony), baby Veda, Layla and Raegan. Aunt Katie Dickson, cousin Tammy, Baby G. Brother in-laws Joshua and Justin. Sisters in-laws Cherokee and Trinity Redsky.

Elijah was predeceased by his brother Kasper Kelly, uncle Brian Indian, his love Aleah Johnson-Desrosiers, aunt Emily Hunter, mother in law Samantha Redsky, grandmothers Tammy Hunter, Caroline Jack.

Pallbearers are Matt Indian-Copenace, Shawn Kelly, Roger Allan, Ray Indian, Graham Hunter, Mitch Perrault, Pete Smith, Taylor Burke. Honorary pallbearers are Ryan Lewis, Tyson Kelly.

A wake for Elijah was held on Friday, December 26, at the Nestor Falls Community Hall starting at 4:00 p.m., with a service on Saturday, December 27 at 10:00 a.m.
