The rural school students are getting in the Christmas spirit by planning and rehearsing their parts for their schools concert or activity.
This year’s school concerts/activities are as follows:
Crossroads: December 18 at 6 p.m.
Donald Young School: December 11 at 6 p.m. A holiday craft night and bake sale.
McCrosson-Tovell: December 15 at 12:30 p.m. A family activity and ham meal
Sturgeon Creek: December 11 at 7 p.m.
Our Lady of the Way: December 18 at 6 p.m. A festival of lights and nativity walk.
Nestor Fall: December 18
Riverview: December 17 at 6:30 p.m.
Happy 50th birthday to Trevor Hands. Trevor reached this milestone birthday on November 30. A birthday celebration was held and enjoyed by all attending.
Happy 50th birthday to Clay Beck, who turned 50 on November 26. Clay enjoyed a birthday party with friends and family all cheering this occasion.
The district sends both Trevor and Clay wishes to enjoy many more years of birthdays.
A reminder that Holly Daze takes place December 5th and 6th.
The parade takes place Friday, December 5, at 6p.m. followed by the tree lighting and amazing fire works. During the parade food items will be gathered, donations can be left at the hot chocolate stand or at The Hair and Body Care. All donations are greatly appreciated.
Stuff a Cruiser takes place Saturday, December 6, at Cloverleaf Grocers. All food donated goes to the Emo Food Bank.
The Emo Legion will host its annual Craft Galore and soup and sandwich event both days.
There are many other events happening throughout Emo. Be sure to sign up for the many in-store draws plus the two draws of $250 each donated by the Emo Chamber.
The Emo Legion will host an evening of comedy on December 8. Comedy Invasion will perform, offering an evening of laughter. Tickets are $20 before December 8 and $25 at the door. The show starts at 8 p.m. This is a 19 plus event.
The next Emo Legion Beer and Burger is December 12.
Weechi-it-it win Family Services’ annual Winter Wonderland takes place December 5 and 6 on McTavish Road. The fun filled evenings take place from 4:30 – 8:30 p.m.
