On July 10, 2025, the family of Dominic “Allan” Cormack were informed of his passing on an outlaying island by Prince Rupert, British Columbia
Allan was born in Hamiota, Manitoba, on September 23, 1969, to Henry Cormack and Brenda Cormack Angus (Curtis).
Allan leaves behind to mourn his loss his sisters and brothers April of Emo, Ont.; Bonnie (Scott) of Wabigoon, Ont.; Jason of Bergen, Alberta; Crystal of Chase, B.C.; Terence of Surrey, B.C.; as well as his stepmother Sheila Cormack, of Delta, B.C.

Allan is predeceased by his parents Henry Cormack; his mother Brenda (Beth) Angus; his brother-in-law Darren Blattner; as well as all grandparents.
Allan, along with his two sisters, moved to the Emo area when he was 5, where he attended Sturgeon Creek School until moving to Fort Frances High School. Allan spent his summers roaming all over the 60 acres along with his sisters, climbing trees, building forts, swimming in the gravel pits near their home, picnics on the berry rocks and picking many pails of blueberries. Winter months were spent snowshoeing exploring in the bush and all over the berry rocks. Allan developed his love of nature in these early years.
Upon graduating high school, Allan moved to British Columbia to be near where his father lived. He lived on Salt Spring Island for a time where he worked as a cook in a restaurant. After a while he moved to Alberta where he got his electrician papers and worked in Fort McMurray for a time. Allan then moved back to Ontario to be near his mother and sisters for a time before the wandering bug caught him again and he headed back out west.
Over the years Allan would disappear for years at a time going into the wilderness to live off the land, leaving his family hoping and praying for his safe return. We got lucky a couple times and he returned safe and sound, unfortunately not this time.
“Through unknown paths, the wander roams, finding comfort in the gentle whispers of nature.”
Rest in peace dear brother, you were loved more than you could imagine.
Arrangements entrusted to Northridge Funeral Home Ltd., Emo, Ontario.
