On Thursday, October 26, 2023, Beverley Bentha (Bowman) Inoue, age 80, passed away in Mesa, Arizona. She was born to John and Fanny Bowman on July 11, 1943, in Devlin, Ontario, Canada. More precisely, Beverley came into the world in the backseat of a car on Highway 71 between Devlin and Emo.
Beverley was a retired nurse who spent most of her career in Hawaii. She earned the designation of Registered Nurse Assistant from La Verendrye Hospital (Fort Frances, Ontario) in September, 1963. She later became a Registered Professional Nurse (State of Hawaii) in September, 1992.

Beverley’s passion for travel motivated her to work two jobs and much overtime. Her desire was to see all parts of the world, an objective she pretty much accomplished, especially in retirement. She was interested in all people and would have no apprehension in striking up a conversation with anyone she met. Those who interacted with Beverley would most certainly leave with a positive impression.
Beverley enjoyed attending flea markets and thrift stores. She liked the challenge of negotiating prices with a vendor, and, backed by a strong sense of “stick-to-itiveness,” she usually returned home with some great bargains. Beverley was also a very active individual, playing tennis multiple times a week well into her seventies.
Beverley is preceded in death by her parents; father John Nels Bowman (1946) and mother Fanny Dorothy (Johnson) Bowman (1973); and five siblings: Lena Klepatz (1988), Mary Frederickson (1999), Bella Weppler (2012), Norma DeBenedet (2012) and Ruth McMillan (2014). She is survived by her sister Bernice DeGagne of Ste. Anne, Manitoba; and her domestic partner of 22 years Bill Grunow (Mesa, Arizona).
Beverley wished to be cremated and is now back home with her beloved mother. She is dearly missed by Bill, her family and her close friends.
