ETL changing programs for summer

Summer programs are on the horizon for the Emo Toy Library.
“Our current programming wraps up at the end of May,” said Emo Library co-ordinator Jennifer Miedema.
“We will begin our new summer programs June 1 and they will run until the end of August. We are going to try some new things this summer”.
New programs include:
Nature Club–this is a time for parents/caregivers and kids to explore nature together and to participate in a theme related craft.
Read-A-Long–Parents/Caregivers and children reading together. Each week everyone can pick out a book from our selection or from the library upstairs and the adults and kids can take turns reading it to each other.cAges 6-8 this program will help children develop their literacy skills.
Picnic Party–Parents/caregivers and kids prepare lunch together here, than go outside for a picnic. This program will teach children simple and healthy meal preparation.
We will also have a new session of Story Hour. We ask that parents/caregivers stay for this program. There will be a new playgroup session for parents/caregivers and children aged 0-6 running once a week. We will have circle time with games, songs and nursery rhymes, a craft and snack, please bring a snack for the kids when you come.
There will be a summer craft club once a week for children aged 8-12. There will be a charge for each week to cover the cost of snack and the craft.
Come in and join us on Saturdays in May for Family Game Day. We have lots of board games, so Moms and Dads, bring in the kids for a fun-filled day,” said Miedema. “We are pleased to announce that during our hop-A-thon activities we raised $215 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Canada, noted Jennifer.
